ITVS based in San Fransisco pays 150 000 USD for the American TV rigths of
Fredrik Gerttens coming film Bananas!* The film will be broadcasted nation wide in the US. The film has also recieved 120 000 Euro in support from
MEDIA TV distrubution.
New York based composer Nathan Larson is currently working on the Bananas
score. Nathan has previously worked with directors as Stephen Frears, Todd
Solonz, Lukas Moodyson and more.


Antoher banana worker is beeing buried in a small nothern town in Nicaragua.
For his whole life, Alberto Rosales used his machete to remove weeds from below the banana plants. His last years were filled with pain, a body that was iching all night - and in the end his kidneys stopped working.
Inside the church, filled with friends and family, Father Bayardo begins his sermon. It's not about Alberto Rosales after a while. It's about pesticides. He is accusing landowners and US transnationals of inmoral practices which he says cause the death and suffering of many members of his community.


Juan José Domínguez, is representing over 12,000 Nicaraguan banana workers in the Tellez vs. Dole Food company. The case is the first ever where land workers from the third world sues a multinational company in an American court.

Byron Rosales both parents were banana workers. He comes from a poor background and works as a math teacher to support his big family.
