Hanna Markkanen

Hanna is an emerging producer at WG Film in Malmö, Sweden. Since joining WG in 2018, she has worked closely on the entire slate of WG’s projects together with producer Margarete Jangård, with a special focus on co-productions and distribution. She is currently working on several projects in development and production as producer.

Hanna has also been working as a festival programmer and coordinator at Savonlinna International Nature Film Festival in Finland since 2016. Before joining WG Film, she was production assistant at the Peabody Award-Winning documentary non-profit the Why Foundation, working with Mette Hoffmann Meyer, and a festival assistant at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. She has an MA in Film & Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen and an undergraduate degree in Film & TV Studies from the University of Glasgow.
